Privacy policy
Last updated 1 October 2026. This is a starter notice so customers know what makesoft-domains does with their information. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for a lawyer.
makesoft-domains sells domain names and shared hosting for Canadian small businesses and developers. Prices shown on this website are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
What we collect
We use the name, email, billing details, domain registrant contacts, and support messages needed to register a domain, provide shared hosting, send invoices, and answer tickets. Card numbers are entered on the payment provider's page. We keep a card brand, last four digits, and a payment reference so renewals can be charged when auto-renew is on.
Domains and WHOIS privacy
Registration details are sent to the registry for the extension you buy. WHOIS privacy is included where the registry allows it. .ca names follow CIRA disclosure rules instead of standard WHOIS privacy.
Billing and renewals
Invoices, payments, and renewals are kept in your account so we can bill the service and show you what is due.
makesoft-domains resells registry and hosting services. We are not an ICANN-accredited registrar.
